Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 8–10 slices cheese (such as havarti or sharp cheddar)
  • 1 lb. deli-sliced turkey (turkey salami and turkey pepperoni)
For the Spread
  • 5 tablespoons softened butter
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon red grape juice vinegar
For the Toppings
  • ½ head iceberg lettuce (shredded)
  • ¼ red onion (thinly sliced)
  • cup banana peppers (chopped)

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  2. Assemble the sandwich by placing cheese, turkey, and your choice of toppings between two slices of bread, buttered side out.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
  4. Slice and serve warm.
