Ingredients
  

For the Tuna Salad
  • 10 ounces canned tuna drained, 2 cans of 5 ounce each
  • cup mayonnaise
  • 1 stalk celery finely diced
  • ¼ cup red onion finely diced
  • 2 tablespoon sweet relish
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Sandwich
  • 8 slices bread choose your favorite
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 large tomato sliced
  • 4 slices cheese such as white cheddar (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, sweet relish, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Spread the tuna mixture onto 4 slices of bread. Top with lettuce, tomato, and cheese if desired. Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.

Notes

You can adjust the seasonings and add other ingredients like pickles or hard-boiled eggs for variation.
