Spinach and Feta Rolls

These spinach and feta rolls are a delicious and easy snack or appetizer.

Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 120 g frozen spinach
  • 1 small onion half large
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • to taste mixed herbs, salt & pepper
  • ½ cup water
  • 200 g feta cheese crumbled
  • 50 g grated mozzarella
Egg
  • 1 egg separated; white for filling, yolk for brushing

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, chopped onion, minced garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, water, feta, mozzarella, and egg white.
  3. Roll out your pastry, fill it with the mixture, and roll it up.
  4. Brush the top with egg yolk and place on a baking tray.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

You can add other ingredients like cooked meat or different cheeses for variation.
