  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Honey or maple syrup can be used as alternatives.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Can substitute with vegetable oil in a pinch.
For the Veggies
  • 3 cloves Garlic Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets Substitute with bok choy or snap peas.
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper Yellow or green bell peppers are suitable substitutes.
  • 1 medium Zucchini Can replace with eggplant or yellow squash.
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Any type of mushroom works well.
For the Base
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil Can use vegetable or canola oil instead.
  • 4 cups Steamed White Rice Brown rice or quinoa can add fiber.

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  2. Add garlic, broccoli, bell pepper, zucchini, and mushrooms to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve the beef stir-fry over steamed white rice.
