- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken sausage and sauté until browned.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion becomes translucent.
- Stir in the broccoli and cook for about 3 minutes until it begins to soften.
- Add the orzo pasta, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 10-12 minutes until the orzo is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your heat preference. This dish pairs well with a side salad.
