For the Rice Pudding
  • 1 cup uncooked medium- or short-grain white rice not instant
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
Optional for serving
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, milk, and granulated sugar.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the rice is tender, about 30 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm or chilled. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
