Ingredients
  

For the Burgers
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce plus more for brushing
  • 1–2 teaspoons sriracha optional
  • 1 ½ tablespoons mayo
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or 2 teaspoons garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger or ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • pinch freshly ground black pepper
For the Slaw
  • 2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup purple cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1 serrano or jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (juice of ½ lime)
  • pinch salt
For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • cup mayo
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (2 if you like spicy)
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
For Assembly
  • buns toasted
  • avocado, sliced

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, basil, green onions, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, mayo, garlic, ginger, lime zest, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Form the mixture into patties. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix green cabbage, purple cabbage, carrots, serrano pepper, sesame oil, sweet chili sauce, lime juice, and salt. Toss to combine and set aside.
  4. For the Bang Bang sauce, mix mayo, sriracha, and sweet chili sauce in a small bowl.
  5. To assemble, place the cooked patties on toasted buns, top with sesame slaw, sliced avocado, and drizzle with Bang Bang sauce.

Notes

You can adjust the spice level by varying the amount of sriracha in the burgers and Bang Bang sauce.
