Ingredients
  

For the Rice
  • 1 ½ cups uncooked rice

  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
For the Beef
  • 1 lb. extra lean ground beef
  • 1 cup water
For the Taco Seasoning
  • 3 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

Method
 

  1. In a pot, cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  4. Stir in water and taco seasoning. Simmer until heated through.
  5. Serve beef mixture over rice.

You can add toppings like cheese, lettuce, or sour cream for extra flavor.
