Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thighs, or a combination
For the Flavoring
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 ounce Parmesan cheese (about ¼ cup freshly grated or ⅓ cup store-bought) plus more for serving
  • 3 sprigs fresh parsley
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • to taste Red pepper flakes for serving (optional)

Method
 

  1. Begin by cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
  3. While the chicken cooks, mince the garlic and chop the parsley. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the garlic and remaining butter to the skillet.
  4. Once the chicken is done, remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan and parsley. Serve hot with extra Parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.
