Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1.5 lbs. lean ground beef
For the Taco Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1.5 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
For the Toppings
  • 1 15 oz. can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 15 oz. can whole corn drained
  • 1.5 cups brown rice approx. 1 ½ cups per serving
  • to taste pico de gallo garnish
  • to taste avocado garnish
  • to taste cheddar cheese grated
  • to taste cilantro garnish

Equipment

  • Pot for rice

Method
 

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the lean ground beef until browned.
  2. Add taco seasoning and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Prepare brown rice according to package instructions.
  4. Assemble bowls with rice, beef, black beans, corn, and toppings of your choice.
