Method
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine plain flour, ground almonds, butter, caster sugar, salt, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Press the dough into a tart pan and chill for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix rhubarb, caster sugar, and cornflour. Pour the mixture into the chilled tart shell.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.
- Brush the top with milk and sprinkle with caster sugar before serving.
Notes
You can serve the tart warm or chilled. It pairs well with whipped cream or ice cream.
