Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 lb Jumbo Shrimps, peeled & de-veined
For the Marinade
  • cup Plain Buttermilk
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Salt (Trader Joe's)
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 large Egg
For the Coating
  • ¾ cup All purpose Flour
  • 3 tablespoon Corn Starch
  • ¼ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Salt (Trader Joe's Brand)
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
For Frying
  • 3-4 cups Oil for frying

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, onion salt, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix well.
  2. Add the jumbo shrimp to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, corn starch, paprika, onion salt, garlic powder, and salt for the coating.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Dredge each shrimp in the coating mixture and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Notes

Serve the shrimp hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
