Ingredients

For the Crispy Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce such as Frank’s RedHot
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Caesar Dressing
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Sandwich Assembly
  • 4 pieces brioche buns, split
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup shaved Parmesan cheese
  • Optional Tomato slices

Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper to make the dressing.
  5. To assemble, place fried chicken on each brioche bun, top with romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan, and optional tomato slices. Drizzle with Caesar dressing.

Notes

You can adjust the level of heat by adding or omitting cayenne pepper in the chicken coating.
