Ingredients
  

The Meat Sauce (Bolognese)
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Lean ground beef browned with onions and minced garlic.
  • 2 cups Marinara or Tomato Sauce A rich tomato base seasoned with Italian herbs.
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste To deepen the flavor and thicken the sauce.
The Cheese Layers
  • 15 oz Ricotta Cheese Often mixed with an egg and fresh parsley.
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese Freshly shredded for the perfect melt.
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Added for a salty, nutty kick between layers.
The Pasta & Finish
  • 9 sheets Lasagna Noodles Traditional or no-boil sheets.
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Parsley Chopped finely for a vibrant garnish.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Sprinkled on top before baking.

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic. Add marinara sauce and tomato paste, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with egg and parsley. Set aside.
  4. In a baking dish, layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers and top with Parmesan and oregano.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes until bubbly. Let it rest before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add other herbs like basil or thyme.
