Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the melted butter, egg, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough and spread softened butter for the filling. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over it.
- Roll up the dough tightly and cut into rolls. Place in a baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
- For the frosting, beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Spread the frosting over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.

Store leftover rolls in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
