Ingredients
  

For the Brownies
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup chocolate chips optional, for extra fudginess
For the Topping
  • 1–1 ½ cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • ½ cup milk or semi-sweet chocolate melted, for drizzle

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow the brownies to cool, then top with sliced strawberries and drizzle with melted chocolate.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate for the drizzle.
