Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 4 ounces semisweet baking chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature plus more for greasing custard cups
  • 2 tablespoons sugar plus more for the custard cups
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • teaspoon kosher salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease the custard cups with butter and dust with sugar.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until thick. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared custard cups, filling them halfway.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates and serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
