Ingredients
  

For the Muffins
  • 200 g ripe Bananas, mashed about 2 medium sized
  • 150 g granulated sugar ¾ cup
  • 50 g dark brown sugar ¼ cup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 50 g neutral oil 4 tablespoons
  • 50 g milk 4 tablespoons
  • 100 g plain yogurt ⅓ cup + 1 tablespoon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 250 g all purpose flour 2 cups
  • 8 g baking powder 1 teaspoon + ½ teaspoons
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 80 g milk chocolate chips ½ cup
  • 80 g semi-sweet chocolate chips ½ cup

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, eggs, neutral oil, milk, yogurt, and vanilla bean paste. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Fill the muffin cups about ⅔ full and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can substitute the yogurt with sour cream if desired. Enjoy your muffins warm or at room temperature.
