Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 30 g fresh yeast
  • 370 g whole milk
  • 60 g sugar
  • 600 g bakers flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 270 g Butter
For the Glaze
  • 1 egg beaten for glazing

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Add sugar, flour, and salt, and mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough, then incorporate the butter until smooth. Let it rise until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out the dough, cut into triangles, and roll each triangle to form croissants. Place on a baking sheet.
  4. Brush with beaten egg and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of vanilla extract to the dough.
