Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 lb beef (flank steak, sirloin, or ribeye), thinly sliced
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
For the Vegetables
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for stir frying
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • ½ cup snap peas, ends trimmed
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, optional for garnish
  • to taste steamed rice, optional for serving

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, and snap peas to the wok. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  3. Return the beef to the wok. Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and honey. Stir to combine and heat through.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with steamed rice if desired.

Notes

You can customize this stir fry by adding other vegetables such as mushrooms or zucchini.
